Job status, saved date and time?
I am curious about something and I believe that there must be a way to see when the job is saved ( especially if it is saved but not compiled). when I look at the status of the jobs in director it says either compiled, not compiled, finished or aborted... what if a job is saved but not compiled righ...

I also needed a driver in unix for excel last year and there are some drivers for that but it would cost you some money ( Data direct has one for sure) and there are also some open source drivers if you google it you will see, if you are not going to use many many times, I think it is not feasable t...

Hi all, ... "Fatal error:Unable to allocate communication resources" When I reset the job and rerun it ,it runs well. ... it could be anything, you should give us more details... whats database are you using? how many connections is this job trying to open? is the server/network too busy?...

Wouldnt a job write to the same sequential file twice, if there is a delay between the two write operations ? If the file is not written to in the same active stage ? As Craig said, the update/read/write operations to a sequential files are governed by the OS. if you open a sequential file for read...

If this were a server job, just use the link collector stage to let 1 or more transformer stages write to the same seq file. ... but this will not guarantee that the second link will be an append, i.e., the records from two links will be mixed. I guess same case will occur with the funnel stage in PX
