I doubt if you can do the same with any other stage (eg:sequential file stage) when you create in a parallel job.

It may be because of the timestamp format eg "14:44:36" as unix has problem creating/reading file having ":" in the name

Rao, I tried your way which is working very fine. You can accomplish this into one job. All you need is a lookup to you database table and you can find out what is the max(Key) then you can start your surrogate_key_generator stage with a starting value of 1. Use a stage variable to add the Key value...

Thanks a lot for the reply..... we could release the locks as you have mentioned but my query was why is the Process area in the Clean up process was blank .....

Jobs not releasing

Hi,
We are not able to release jobs from director using "Clean up resources" as the window showing all process with "Show all" being on shows one PID# with 0 .
While our development server doesnt have any problem.

Difference between Transformer Stage and all other stage

One interviewer asked me the difference between transformer Stage and the rest stages.
I couldnt answer this if anybody know about this.

Yes, I have tried all types of method even try running shell script from server which runs fine too. The only thing left is I should try running from client command propmt.
I'll post my results then.

Yes we have tried firing it through keyboard but again the job wont run, the status would be still runnable (run button is enabled).
The funny thing is it runs from command line from server.

Let me answer one by one:
Clicking on the button doesn't effect.
Status on Director shows the Run button enable all the time
In Log view the we could only find the log of last run log.
No Funny log messages.
