Difference between version 7.5 & 8.0
Hi All, I have earlier worked on Datastage 7.5 and my new client is installing 8.0. I came to know that it uses a database like DB2,Oracle and SQL server to store its metadata unlike 7.5 where it uses Universe. What are the other differences. I dont want to get lots of surprise. Is the quality stage...

Suppose the path is c:\folder\filename.ds then it would work if I put c:\\folder\\filename.ds in the path or can pass the earlier path through parameter. What about the check button in the manager configuration window why is that disa...

Again I found that I have to add a extra '\' before every '\' we encounter in the path. Is there any constraint ? This thnig only happens f...

Strange Date problem
Hi,
I'm facing this very strange Date problem where I'm mapping a Date field of DB2 API(Source) to another DB2 API(Target) with a transformer in between at the target the date becomes:
Target Date= Source Date - 1 Day
where as Timestamp mapping is working fine.
Any clues ?
