If this is the case you can make use of scheme file optiong to acheive a job to get metadata from the file.

I have a doubt, may be it sounds silly but I want to confirm. In my project we are validating record in one stage and forming a file after that. And in the new job by using same file we are updating table. Can anybody tell me, should I use the same job for both the purpose.

I am processing an excel file through DataStage. The file format is like it has blank line after each row. I want that if there is any blank line I can reject that record otherwise process it. Could anybody tell me how i shd check this.
