Thanks for the response.

The data is already coming in yyyy-mm-dd hh:MI:ss.s(6) format from the I/P . So do we need to still use tha Format syntax as you had Given ?

Though I changed it and run I got the same problem. What else do you think should I be looking at the teradata end.

Think that Sequence Id is better if created at the DataBase level...
Need to be careful if there is any sort of migration , as these conditions are easily handled at the RDBMS level

Treatment of NULLS in DS

Hi, I noticed a strange thing , let me know if anybody has faced a similar problem. Inside the transformer I have used in the Derivation for two columns as @NULL , the O/P is going to a sequential file . What has happened is where the metadata for the column was Decimal(3,2) , the Data in sequential...

Does this set of files have same Metadata. Then you can go for a two step job like in the first job using folder stage u get the filenames , and then use this as an parameter to call the Second job where you would be Accessing the file and extracting releveant columns and putting into the table

Yes, I have also seen this functionality. But my guess is not inserting the record(6.0 Feature) is better than the truncating and inserting feature(4.x). Which in 4.x u needed to check the data length before inserting the data as otherwise the truncated data used to get loaded. Not sure if we can set...

Sequential file issue

Hi, 1) I have a fixed width file , that has got a column name in FirstLine. The EOR for the First Row i.e. i think the last column name is occuring a bit earlier. So DS job is getting aboted. Does that mean that even though the first line is the Column name it still has to follow the metadata. 2) One...
